Confidence

Suzanne Moores DishesWhen I was in my twenties, I bought myself a set of 'grown up' dishes for my apartment. I fell in love with the pattern as the colors spoke to me.

Life shifted and they were packed into boxes that have traveled with me from home to home and state to state. I hoped that someday they would emerge and be used again.

A few weeks ago, I invited my future ex-husband to take the dishes we'd selected together as he moved out and I brought these back to life. Every time I pull one out of the cabinet, I feel a little flutter of happiness.

I wondered before I unearthed them from their slumber, if I would like them as much now as I did then. I think I might like them more because of how they make me feel. It is as though the spirit of my younger more independent self is re-emerging and I am renewing the confidence of the woman who chose them half a lifetime ago.

I knew then what I liked in a way that was timeless and true. But later I struggled with knowing.

My confidence over the years waned. Between motherhood, which could take the most confident woman down on a bad day, marriage to a perfectionist, and the challenges inherent in the roller coaster of entrepreneurship (you can learn more about mine in my book #shamelessplug) belief in myself wavered.

Can you relate?

Now it is as though lightbulbs are turning on inside of me, and I am seeing things more clearly than I have in ages. Expunging the negative energy I was living in is dissipating the brain fog and confusion.

It's allowing me to come back to my role as creator, teacher, and advisor with my full energy, drive, and excitement.

Right now, this means, I've developed a new workshop for non-fiction authors called How to Create and Sustain Revenue as a Non-fiction Author Photo Courtesy of which debuts this coming Friday at noon Eastern. I'll be working with those who attend on...

Clarifying your marketing messages...so you can make more money in your business,

Focusing your marketing efforts and leaning into your strengths...so you can make more money in your business, and/or,

Creating a systematic path that helps you guide those from "interested in your message" to "ready to buy from you"...so you can make more money in your business.

This will be an intimate, 60-minute, virtual workshop available only to those willing to show up fully and be on camera because I would rather help a handful of people who are truly present and excited than send a recording to fifty, most of whom will never tick it off of their to-do list!

To join me, you'll need to schedule a one-to-one follow-up meeting with me to discuss the action items that came out of the workshop for you, what you'll need to accomplish them, and where you may run into trouble.
