From Nursing to Selling Homes

Cindy ForteI started selling Real Estate to really impact my clients’ lives in a positive way! I was a substance abuse nurse, a hospice nurse, and a long-term care nurse dealing with folks who had end-stage dementia! My goal was to make a positive impact during one of life's more difficult or challenging journeys. I am a Graduate of Fisher College and Quincy College Nursing Program. In my nursing career, I developed my negotiation skills working with patients and advocating for my patient's needs. One of my favorite roles was in Utilization Review at High Point Treatment Center. Utilization Review requires the Nurse to have knowledge of the patient's needs and advocate with the insurance company to secure third-party payment for additional treatment for my patients. I very much wanted to be a part of one of life's fabulous journeys. I wanted to be a trusted advisor during this joyous milestone! This desire to help people is just something I had ingrained in my personality.

My work in Real Estate is similar to Nursing, Negotiations are central to this profession. I worked with family members in crisis and with those who needed extra support. I am great at recognizing when my input is essential to the home sale or purchase. I am the mother of four sons and my family has now grown with the addition of a fabulous daughter-in-law and an adorable granddaughter. But folks who know me realize that genetics doesn't always make a family, so I am always willing to spread love to all who want to call me Mimi.
