The Christmas Spirit

author/source: Rita N. Wolfson

It is a wintery cold December with its snow-covered ground,

but the Christmas spirit of warmth and friendliness is all around.

People walk about with a bounce in their step and with smiling faces,

the-christmas-spiriteager to welcome strangers and to be in their good graces.

The Christmas spirit should not only be just a part of this holiday season,

it should be present and accepted year-round with good reason.

For spreading the Christmas spirit is a gift to one and all,

whether it be in the Winter, Spring, Summer or the Fall.

When Christmas and New Years’ Eve are over and December bids farewell,

a New Year begins with the hope, that the Christmas spirit will forever dwell.

Merry Christmas and a most Happy New Year.
