In the Month of October
For those of us who live in the northeast, we are privileged
to enjoy Mother Nature’s artistry, particularly in the month of October.
With her palette of overflowing shades of orange, red, and
golden yellow, she busily covers the leaves on the trees and bushes
illuminating a presence of beauty and brightness all around.
In due time, when the leaves start falling from their trees and bushes, they
resemble a multi-colored blanket that has spread itself freely all over the
ground. And when you walk on these fallen leaves, you hear a delightful
crunching sound that invites you to keep walking.
We are left with a lasting picture of being surrounded by the glorious
colors that exude the warmth and the beauty that prepares us for the long
cold winter months ahead.
The highest praise given to the most important holiday to celebrate
in the month of October is HALLOWEEN. Halloween is an ageless holiday.
For you are never too young or too old to be dressed in a costume, wear
a mask to disguise yourself, and be whomever you desire. Going around
in your neighborhood, knocking on doors, Trick or Treating. And when you
have filled your shopping bag with a goodly mixture of treats, homeward bound
to enjoy them. No weight watching that night!
These are the moments and memories in the month of October
that are forever lasting. Happy Foliage and Happy Halloween.
