A reflection on entrepreneurship, faith, balance, and becoming who we are meant to be.

How am I going to do this?
This is a question that has come up for me often during these last three years of divorcing my ex-husband.
How am I going to continue? How can I possibly run this organization while working full-time?
But the other question that came up for me equally is—how can I not?
Don’t most entrepreneurs juggle between jobs that pay their bills and move forward with their passionate missions? How am I any different?
I’m just another woman like you—moving forward with my passion and moving through life as best I can.

I am a spiritual being first. And we live in a dual world.
We live in a world where trade isn’t the norm. Using money is.
Money pays the bills. Money fuels my car. Money feeds my fridge.
So what is a girl to do when her passion can no longer be center stage?
When we focus on the “how,” I’ve learned, is when I notice I get stuck. When we focus on our desires, the Universe seems to flow.
The Universe flows where energy goes.
It’s a balance. To keep our dreams alive while playing the role of provider.
And becoming an empty nester during the process—earlier than anticipated—earlier than I wanted to… was a lot to handle.
I still feel the sting.
When people ask me how my son is, and the answer is inevitably, “I don’t know.”
It’s a trigger for me now. One that I’m learning to feel my way through.
Because our emotions are our sixth sense. And feeling them is how we get through.
Not over, under, or around.Only through.
When was the last time you listened to a sad song and allowed yourself to really feel your emotions?
Feel the feels.
It’s important. For our sanity. For humanity.
Feel our feelings.
And move when we are moved.
That’s a big one. And I let this one guide me many times a day.
Move when I am moved.
There’s one thing that has blessed me through all these last few years: not to let Nicole Perry get in the way of God’s plan for me.
And to not make any decisions—hasty or otherwise.
Because I do not know what is in my own best interest. Holy Spirit does.
It has taken me many years to learn what this means. How this works. How to know.
It’s Spirit guiding me. It’s intuition. It’s moving when I am feeling moved. It’s staying in the present moment. It’s living in the now.
It’s Being. Human Being.

And being an entrepreneur is exciting!
It’s invigorating. It’s enlightening. It’s empowering. It’s moving. And it’s a calling.
Throughout my journey, I have been moved to pieces!
I’ve been moved to shift and realign. To recreate and reinvent myself. To follow my inner guides.
We are all doing this as entrepreneurs.
And for me, well, dare I say, there is no better way to live than the life of a woman entrepreneur!
So let’s all raise our glasses.
To the woman on our left. And to the woman on our right. But mostly to the woman inside.
May she BE everything she is meant to be, living her life harmoniously and free.
