I Want a Valentine

 How touching to hear a young man say,

“I want a Valentine” to come my way.

His words were so honest and dear,

but with uncertainty and some fear.

He was not waiting for a Hallmark card in the mail;

His hope was to find a kind and caring female.

He met that special person, and together they learned to share,

and embrace each other’s uniqueness and become

a happy pair.

No longer do they need to want a Valentine.

Together, they help to make each other’s lives simply fine.

 They will exchange valentines on Valentine’s Day,

 expressing their feelings in a very caring and beautiful way.
